Pet Licences
All dogs and cats (whether indoor pets or not) must be registered with the Town of Minnedosa annually, the license year runs from January to December. New pets do not require registration until they are old enough for a rabies shot and/or six months of age.
Required documentation is as follows:
- A current rabies certificate from the veterinarian (must be provided each and every year).
- If the pet is neutered or spayed, veterinarian proof must be provided as well.
The current fees are as indicated below:
- A sterile pet has an annual fee of $15.00 per dog or cat (within limit of 2)
- Unsterilized pets have an annual fee of $50.00 per dog or cat (within limit of 2)
- Guide Dogs – No Charge
- Replacement Tag and/or Transfer of Tag has a fee of $5.00
(The fee schedule may change from time to time and will supersede all rates indicated.)
Licenses may be purchased in person at the Town of Minnedosa Office located at 103 Main Street South, Minnedosa, MB, R0J 1E0.

- Each dog determined to be aggressive $350.00
- Daily Pound Fees (Cats and/or Dogs) $30.00
- Apprehension Fees (Cats and/or Dogs) $75.00
- Redemption Fees: (Cats and/or Dogs)
a) First Impoundment $150.00
b) Second Impoundment $250.00
c) Third and Subsequent $500.00
