River's Edge Playground
The Rivers Edge Recreation Park was a project undertaken to develop a recreational area west of Tanner’s Crossing School, north of the river. The area now includes a walking trail and bike park, off-leash dog park and a 9-hole disc golf course.
Bike Park: Along with assistance from the Town of Minnedosa, Valley Life Recreation is the charitable, not-for-profit organization that oversees this park. Future plans include additional wooden features for the bike park and in the coming years, there is a hope to develop a skateboard park.
Disc Golf Park: If disc golf is new to you (a sport played with frisbees), you may borrow a set of discs and learn how to play on our course. Our discs are stored at the Dari Isle (11 6th Ave NE, Minnedosa; 204-867-3601) and can be picked up during regular Dari Isle business hours. The discs are free to use and simply require a $20 security fee. Score cards can be picked up there too, or you can download one here. Easy-to-follow game instructions are posted at the parking lot next to the disc golf course. Our sincere thanks for the time, effort and financial contributions of all those who have been involved with the River’s Edge Recreation Park.
Central Bark: A fun little enclosed area to let your dog go off leash and play around some fun dog structures
